I have heard the presentations. SAARC is a forum of developing and LDCs. The presentations could have been more focussed and address the common concerns of SAARC countries. The president of SAARC chamber of Commence & Industry could have outlined and elucidated the concerns of the private sector more succintly and than the platitudes that were presented. Also the ideas and efforts of the SAARC chamber in getting the SAARC Agreements enforced could have been presented and the efforts of SAARC to forge a common negotiating front in WTO negotiations could have been detailed. In all a lacklustre discussion that did not address the issues at all!We expect the speakers to display greater scholorship in such forums - they appear to be grossly underprepared!!
